Next weekend next tour! After an exhausting 18 km trailrun at the Isar on saturday and heavy snowfall 2 days ago, we decided to do something close to Munich. Less than 1h drive and we started at 8am from the church at St. Margarethen.

right after sunrise - the misty fog gave the valley a magical look
We followed the trail around one and a half hours to the Lechneralm. Behind the hut we turned right and went up over a steep meadow to the Rampoldplatte.

The remaining fog and clouds were gone and the sun warmed to us up nicely. We followed the trail another half a hour and left it when we saw the gap between Lechnerkopf and Hochsalwand. Without a path we went to the foot of the Lechnerkopf and climbed the last 40 meters (UIAA I) to the summit.
easy and enjoyable climbing to the Lechnerkopf

After a short break we climbed the same way down and continued our previous trail further to the Hochsalwand. Just one hour later we arrived our second summit.

Lechnerkopfsecond summit was f*cking windy
While enjoying lunch in heavy winds, we had a nice view to the famous Wendelstein with the old cog railway. At this point we met the some other hikers. Until then, we hadn´t seen any other hikers. We went on to our next and final summit of the day. The Haidwand has no trail, so we left the path after 20 minutes to the right and tried to find a our own way through the partly steep wood and bushes to the summit.

After beating the bushes, roots and branches we arrived safely the lonely and gorgeous Haidwand.
